Sound Deadening

After reading Troy's impression of the SLC, I started to wonder about sound deadening. Some of the things I am wondering about are.

1. Which brand/type has the best noise reduction per pound

2. How much weight is to be added

3. Placement, where is it needed.

All in all, I know it's not going to be as quiet as a showroom stock car, but close would be nice.

So far I've seen the following

- Brown Bread
- Second Skin
- Dynomat

Who has used these or others? How much of a difference did it make and how much did you have to use?

Sound deadening? Bite you tounge!!!!! I though that was why we got these cars? LOL
I used Dynamat on the floor in my C3 Corvette. To deaden the road noise (so I could hear rhe engineLOL) seems to work pretty well. As to how much? Enough to cover?

Wayne has spent considerable time working this issue. He wrote up a nice article about it on the Superlite SLC Builders wiki. See it at Superlite SLC Builders wiki - Where SLC builders meet to share.... and look for the Noise, Vibration and Harshness section. There is some good info there.
