SL-C 002 build Bob DeNyse

I have had so many inquiries about my car I have decided to put up as many pictures to detail what has been done to it. I must first tell everyone I bought the car built, it was a bad job for a lot of it and I have re-built most of it. I cannot tell you what came with the kit, how it was to be assembled since I never got an assembly manual, or what parts came with the kit and what was fabricated by Ernie the original builder. I do know he has done a lot of items himself for parts of the car that as far as I know did not come with it. This is why I am going to put up a lot of pictures so people can see what has been done. If anyone has any questions I will try to shoot more pictures and give as much detail as possible. I will say this, Fran has been very helpful with this car since he knew what problems I inherited.

I have placed as many pictures as I can for the various items, I am sure that not all these pictures are self explanatory, if there is any questions please highlight the picture and I can try to explain what that is and what we did, I am trying to help all you guys assembling your car and try to shortcut any learning curve. I am not saying this is how to do any of this but it is a way we found to do it, and I am sure there are a lot of better ways some of you have accomplished for the same issue, and good luck

Fran - was that a engineering decision (the hood needs to be secure) and/or the hood wouldn't jive well with future changes re: splitters, venting, cooling ducts etc. or...

So the front is secured and doesn't open or is it a lift off sorts? Im just curious about accesability for suspension adjustments or other maintenance.

i assume this is the same car where little support was offered from the off on the development and now spun to be the original builders fault.

The hood has two holes for the pins to secure the hood once down and in place. You can still have the hood swivel and pin to secure it, I think this is a good way to go still. It makes it easier to open the hood and not have to find a place to put it and risk scratching it. I will try to post a picture so you can see what I am talking about. I think it is probably the same hole and pin set up you have without the swivel option. Is that what was designed originally I don't know maybe Fran can input about the additional pin securing the hood along with the swivel.
