SL-C door hinges

Hello,
Doe's any one have pictures of where the gas struts go on the door hinges? do they attach to the chassis or the center section?
any pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Mine attach on the bottom of the hinge and mount to the side of the "footbox".

Maybe I'm a idiot when it comes to strut geometry, but i found it critical to get it jsut right ... and because I can never do that on my first attempt, what I did was bolt a 1/4'' plate to the footbox, then drill/tap the plate for the ball stud. Then I just kept drilling/tapping holes into the plate until I got the perfect position for the strut.

How did you get up in the footbox to get it all mounted?!

It isn't easy but it can be done. Have you mounted the 1 1/2" standoff yet?

I haven't done jack squat. The body is on the car at this point and can't see how i'd get my hands up there.

You might have use your wife's arms and hands like I did.

Or go to Allan's videos and use that as your guide to placing electric doors. They work really well!
