After buying an audi 016 5n transaxle for small money, I was able to take a close look at it, when I dismantled it. The unit is compact and light. I cleaned it up and put it back together with new seals. In my opinion it is ideal for the small ford v8.
However I wish it had a 3.31 or a 3.44 ring and pinion, I do not know of any that are available for this transaxle. If there was an interest in the ring and pinion (3.31 or 3.44), would it be possible to have the ring and pinion manufactured?. After all there seems to be plenty of these transaxles available. Maybe Im the only one that feels like this about the ring and pinion, I would like to hear from others that do, and if any one has investigated having them made?.
