Need 351C advice

Hi Guys,
A newbie to the Gt40 world from Johannesburg South Africa. This car got into my blood back when I was 16 in 1966. Had a long time to think about getting one

. Bought a very sad looking 10 yr old KCC car in Johannesburg that has been abandoned for three years. It has a 351C block in it. The obvious problem at this moment is that the huge water pump doubles as an arm rest. Does anybody have any experience to tuck this away back in the engine bay where it belongs?
Shorter pumps etc??
cheers
Dave

I think ERA is also testing an electric pump made by Davies Craig www.daviescraig.com

Bob Putnam at ERA probably has info on how the pump performs.

Unless all the missing motor parts are there,
including exhaust, I'd sell the block and
install a 302 or 351W... More compact,
betters parts availability, lower cost.

As much as I love the cleveland, and think it would be a great power plant for a 40. I would have to agree, go with an electric pump or go with a windsor. I dont think they sell a shorty pump for the C.
