why it cost so much

This is a light hearted attempt to explain to the wife, why my car is going to cost so much.

ERA MK2 kit and options - $98,000 - est
Shelby 427 - $35,000 - crazed idiot wants 850hp.
T44 transaxle - $20,000 - needed for said idiot.
Body paint and such - $15,000 - it has to look good.
And the most important part of my build
Bribe money to wife - $110,000 - Jag XKR, convertable, must be red.

Wow I got away cheap. The wife only wanted a baby and a Cobra. Well where as I love Cobras making the kid went to the top of the list. Now that that is done it's onto the GT biuld. The Cobra will be there someday, but now she wants another shorty. Not a bad deal though, kid-GT40, kid-cobra. This I can deal with.

i almost had her talked into a new tbird, but then we drove by the jag dealership.

The 'better half' has never complain about the late hours spent in the garage and at the workshop,this is probably why I felt guilty enough and a push over when she 'requested' a new kitchen,bathroom suite and conservatory.
Just goes to show how caring and considerate us guys are!

May cost me one (possible) swimming pool in exchange for the GT-40. cb
