Ford Dizzy

One of my customers needs help with wiring a Ford mgnetic pick up distributor for his car, and I caanot find reference in my books. How do you connect the two wires from the distributor? one is black/orange the other is black/purple. A third black wire is assumed to be a earth(ground) wire. Worldwide help please! Thanks, Frank
