I have the default "automatic subscription after posting" turned on in my User CP Options, I've deleted many of these that aren't interesting anymore, so my current subscription level is around 60.
That is probably it then - when a linkback gets approved it is the same as posting on that thread and you get notified. Not much I can do about that I don't think.
I didn't think folks used the subscription feature at all to be honest. Anyone else use it?
you are automatically subscribing to threads. There is a User Option to turn this on, and yours was on. I have turned it off. You were subscribed to 117 threads, thus when anything got posted to those threads you got an email about it. Linkbacks are like posts you cannot see.
I have fixed that for you but had to reset your password in the process. I turned the feature off, you can turn it back on, but don't be suprised if you get a lot of emails.
