Your Car is Needed!!!!!!!!

Dear Members,

I'm going to need some photos of GT40s, your GT40s!

I wish to make five alternative color schemes for the forum so that we can select the colors that we'd like to see with applicable motif.

I'd also like to revamp the "Oil" scheme we have now with a member's "Oil" GT40.

Here is what I'm looking for:

*An "Oil" car
*A red car - I have one of these in mind already
*A blue car of some sort, do not have one in mind
*A fourth car which is yet to be decided
*A fifth car which is yet to be decided

I do not want all the cars to be of the same "make", in fact, I'd like it if all of them were different makes.

If photos of real GT40s are to be used you must have taken the photo, it can't be from Allen's book and so forth.

We can use this thread to kick around some ideas, sort of vote, and so on. Bear in mind while low-res photos are fine for kicking ideas around we'll need some pretty good resolution photos for the designer to play with.

Thanks!!

Ron

Ron,

Here is my red GTD.

Regards,

Lucas

How about 5 cars, 5 colours and 5 numbers
Mk1, Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, Mk5

Mk1 in my mind should be Gulf oil Number 6
Mk2 First Le Mans Winner Black
Mk3 Here's one I took of an Origonal at Le Mans Classic 2004
Mk4 Jim's car Yellow number 2
Mk5 Now this is a toss up as some would conside Safir as Mk5 and others the new Ford GT - I'd probably go with the new to keep the modern interest on the site.

Just something to throw into the mix

Ian

Yep, keep them rolling. Bear in mind I'll be looking for complete cars and cars that "replicate" a particular GT40 or something similar is always welcome as well.

It is highly unlikely that a shot posted here would be good enough to use for the site thus we'd probably need more pictures of your car if selected.

I've got the red car covered, it is a MKI that I like the looks of and I know there are many pictures of it in various settings that I can use.

Ones I know we'll need are similar to what Ian suggested:

*Oil MKI (there will be two MKI motifs)
*A MKII
*A MKIII, might be replaced with another MKII
*A MKIV, but I would like to use Jim's for that if he'll agree and I know the pictures exist that would work well for that car
*Maybe a Ford GT, maybe, depends on how much $$$ each of these takes to get done. Problem is isn't a GT40 and there are other forums for the Ford GT.

Sorry to say my "replication" (nice phrase) of P1046 as the winner of LM1966 is still 6/7 months off (due to work commitments :( ) I have seen a few SPF cars n 1046 guise that look the part on the net though ; maybe one of them is on here??

Hello all.

Here are some pics that I'd taken at the recent Australian Cobra Nationals.

Those Queenslanders certainly like their unique paint jobs!

You are more than welcome to use mine if you want. It is in Fiat "Ink black" a very dark blue/black metallic with silver stripes, I have some very high res photos that I cannot post here but could send direct.
