Spam posts?

There seem to be a lot of spam posts popping up all over the forums. Just a heads up. I wouldn't advise clicking any links.

There is a little icon like an exclamation mark under the avatar on the posts

Click on it and send a message "spammer"

the admins pick these up and do the necessary and saves them having to trawl through all new posts

Is there a way that new members can have a week to wait before their first post? this may weed out the spammers, or can they leave all their details to be checked before they post? how many new members does this site have a week? is this viable?

And all from India. Since I don't think we have any Indian members we might just ban all IP addresses from India.

Lately they have been from India, but prior to that they were from Russia / Croatia...
I would not single out IPs in any particular country.. There are too many ways to spoof an IP address...
When people click on the Report-Post - I'm on them s soon as I can be.. The big thing is to not add to the problem by responding to the spammer.. I've never yet seen a spammer reply..
