forward or backward ?

Ok which way? Or does it matter I personally like the round pivot facing forward, but does it matter? In the following pictures it looks like it has been done both ways. Comments?

Backwards is correct and allows the tail to hinge over the diffuser (pic 4) for more a more vertical angle of the tailsection when raised.....although the forward angle of the last picture may make me change my mind..
