How many are finished and being driving

I am wondering, just how many are finished and being driven in the USA vs overseas. Fran, can you shed some light on that?

I am asked that question all the time, I drive mine everywhere, its a grocery getter and good exercise getting in and out of it for me.

Drive mine at least once a week if not more since it was completed.

4 tanks of gas thus far

Maybe 300-400 miles total.

I have around 3000 miles on mine, almost 3 years.

50-60 I would say...

Allan has done a lot of cars..over 10 from memory, there are more than 10 being used in Australia alone.
We have built 10 tk/track day cars.
There 4 bespoke race cars too.
The diesel high mileage cars. I have had two personal cars that are still being driven regularly. Two Rapiers that we built, a UK car also.

A lot more than you may think Garry, you bought your car Sept. 2013 so less than two years for you .

I’ve smashed out 11,150km (6,925 miles) on mine.

Personally I know of one other SLC here in NSW Australia that is also finished and being driven.
I’ve seen video footage or photos of another couple of Australian ones. AFAIK none of the Australian owners are on the forum.

I put 20 miles on my car today.

While filling up at the Sunoco, a young woman came up and said "Can I take a picture of the car?". I said "Sure- do you think your husband will like it?". She replied "It's not for him, it's for me! I really like it!"

Then another woman came up and asked to take a picture (of the car...)

Is there something about the SLC that it draws more attention from women than men?

Wait till your driving and people are swerving beside you and are trying to take photos of you cruising down the road. At that point it's you civic duty to speed out of camera range to avoid distracted driving.:laugh:

Thanks Fran, I get asked these questions all the time, thought I had mine 3 years, but I like the car, probably the longest I have every kept one.

Putting gas in it is the hardest thing, you cant get away from people asking to take pictures of it, what it is, who makes it, etc. Im sure you know the drill.

Best thing I ever did is get this, to bad Stacy at Gearz never finished his, the one episode I saw it on got me to buy one.

I get people hanging out of windows with there cell phones, even the driver on the freeways around here, then every mustang, camero, vette, charger wants to race you and then you have the cop magnet factor, they are always zapping me so far its all been when driving the speed limit.

I have had people follow me into my shop to ask questions, take pictures etc.

If you have one, they think your rich, I was at the drag strip with some friends, a 20ish girl, nice looking, asked if she could sit in it, so I said sure, I was on the way to get some french fries, after she was in, she looks up at me and said "wouldn't you want to take someone like home?" my reply was: " I already raised my kids sorry. "

I've driven mine on three very short "shake down" runs at very slow speeds. Nothing in excess of 60 or "so" with nearly all the time below 45mph. First track time is coming but I need to go get my trailer first.

As far as done. 95% assembly complete. About 25% development complete.

Pete, glad to see im not the only one in OHIO driving it, I hope BOB will get his on the road before the snow hits.

We will have a convoy of them in OHIO, not sure any other state has 3 of them on the road, we could be the first, probably need FRAN to verify, he might know.
