Yes, A dead Horse - One wire Alternator, again

Sorry fellas to once again raise a dead horse issue, but its not resolved here yet.

I am using a GM harness with the LS3 and a CTS-V alternator. GM insists I add a resistor to the alternator wire in PARELLEL (not even sure what that means with a single wire). They were pretty clear when asked about parallel versus series to NOT cut the wire, so adding a resistor in series is not their solution.

Many of you have said the resistor is built in the harness already. I am not close to a start and do not have a battery connected yet, so not able to check voltage.

What is the experience of you LS/GM/CTS-V combo installs?

there's a single orange wire in the gmpp harness. it plugs into the alternator. done.

that's at least how the 1-wire 8247 alternators work. Don't know about the cts-v.
