Intermittent coolant leak

Well, I'm definitely in the "work the bugs out" phase of the build. I went to a car show tonight and when I pulled one of the coolant lines was leaking just behind the right front tire. I couldn't see exactly where it was coming from with out jacking the car up, so I let it cool down, enjoyed the show, and called my wife to bring some water and follow me home. Got home, pulled into the garage, and no leak. Not even a drop. WTH?

Obviously I need to take a few long drives before the 4.5 hour trek to Kentucky in Sep for LS Fest.

Coolant leaks usually are more common as a hot engine cools down. Try pressure testing the system after warmed up to locate the leak. It may need to cool down quite a bit until you see something. Also there are ultraviolet dyes you can add and trace with a black light if it's difficult to pinpoint in a hard to see area.

Ken, my hoses are rubber.

I put tighten the clamps on the holes I think was leaking. I guess I'll just watch it and see if it happens again.
