Strange stress crack

So, I woke up this morning and took the car for a spin. Upon return, I found a major stress crack on the hood - it runs from side to side on the locking pin and has broken clean.

Seems like a stress crack that started on the drivers door side and spread very quickly. Anyone seen anything like this?

I had a crack like that on the rear clam. Fortunately it happened before I finished bodywork, so I fixed the crack and reinforced the area with extra fiberglass.


That is weird. It doesn't seem like that area would be stressed that much.

Yes I have some too, Not as bad as yours though. Wow that sucks. Least your car is Black I cant fix mine as its a candy. Im just gonna wait a few more years by then everything that can go wrong hopefully will.
