Question What to check when picking up an SPF from the dealer?

My SPF is supposed to be ready for pick up soon.

What are your recommended checks during buy-off?

What issues did you encounter on new cars?

Thanks in advance,

Markus

Re: What to check when picking up an SPF from the dealer?

Make sure you drive it before you give them the final deposit. Make sure the front and rear clips are properly aligned and that there is no rubbing of these panels or noises. Drive it on a slightly bumpy road to see if there are any noises from the body panels. If there are, have them continue to work on the car until any issues are sorted out. Most of these cars are going to need a little massaging to get things fitting properly.

Markus, if you are using Olthoff it will likely be pretty well sorted, however, take it for a brisk spin and check all electrical including AC. Check for smooth clutch operation and engine hesitation and brake bias. Have fun. chuck
