Dash Removal

My car came with 3rd fuse, 2nd row installed indicating the run on fix had not been performed by factory (also did not have diode fix implemented). Followed instructions and ran wire from approrpiate blower switch terminal to A/C switch in door to see if fix worked with fuse pulled, it did! Success!

Question now is, how do I run the wire from the A/C panel through the door frame, up behind the dash. Looks like only way is by removing the dash.

So, can anyone describe how best (ie, the steps) to remove dash?

Thanx
Mark

Disregard, found this from Lynn Miner:

Do you need to completely remove the dash or just move it forward a bit for clearance? If the latter is the case, it's fairly simple. You need to remove:

-the weather strip on each side down in the corners by the sills
-the plastic covers that run along the sills (later cars)
-the two screws on each side on the ends of the
dash
-the demist grill
-the screws exposed by the demist grill removal
-the six screws that hold the center column where the ignition switch is and slide the column out of the way
-loosen and rotate the turn signal lever

Doing the above will give you 3 to 4 inches of working room.

Mark, my dash and Mike Trusty's dash will not move, looks as the window sealant has glued the dash to the window. Who ever put our windows in must have screwed up. Our cars were made 2164 2165 next to each other. Now Kirby's dash will come completely out, so someone did his right.

I would avoid taking it out if you can, lots of stuff in there to put back.

Mark,

You do not need to remove the dash.

You need the Relay Pack upgrade and will be able to wire from under the dash.

Olthoff or Lance should be able to get you the kit and instructions.

PS: I have all fixes and upgrades. If any question post me a PM

My dash came out OK but getting it back in takes a bit of luck and some friendly persuasion. See pictures.
