ZF Cable Shifter

Any special technique for adjusting cables to hit all the gears? Can't seem to hit first despite where I set the adjustment nuts.

Sure is...MkII with 427, ZF, cable shift

You will have to re-drill the shift brackets that came with the car putting the hole lower than were it was drilled, thus giving a greater throw on the bracket with the same amount of cable movement. Not sure what your car number is but I would hope they would have cured this problem on later cars.

I speak a different language most the time, sorry.... I meant to say re-drill the levelers. Here is a picture of my car set up, sorry for the dirt, I drive mine.

Have you ever seen the paddle shifter set up for a zf?

Yes and know someone who bought it, after use he send his ZF back to Buttfoy to be rebuilt. I don't think I will try that set up.
