SPF Accelerator Cable

Accelerator cable shredded right behind brake pedal and broke.

Is the best way to get at cable for repair/replacement by removing nose, fake oil cooler, and plates above pedal mechanism? Don't see how its possible to do it from inside the car.

Has anyone replaced the accelerator cable? If so, what was the brand and the part number?

Thanx
Mark

Hi Mark,

I've done it by just removing the 4 bolts of the pedal box then you can toggle it and get access to the throttle cable. Access is easier by removing the fake oil, cooler, a/c box and plates but it's longer and if all is not well replaced/sealed you can have water intrusion...

Throttle cable costs 123$ from SPF (Irvine)

Remove the cable and visit a marine supply store. They can generally supply a marine duty cable of the proper length that will be more robust than the SPF cable.
