Oil Pan gasket

Does anyone have info regarding what replacement gasket I should get and where for the 402R Roush engine? I'm assuming it is the "GT40" oil pan. But I don't know what make they use.

Thanks!

There are two common types of gaskets, one with "crush sleeves" that prevents overtightening the gasket. If your pan has ridges in the pan rail that type will NOT work on the pan as it will bottom before it seals.

Just use a good quality Fel-Pro set for a late 70's 351 and you will be fine.

Anybody have any suggestions on lifting the engine off the mounts, without having to take the whole thing out? If I loosen the Transmount bolts and remove the engine mount bolts, will there be enough room to drop the pan and wiggle in a new gasket?

I seriously doubt it. Notice angle of the tub under the sides of the engine. Pan can't be dropped straight out anyway. On my Roush it has to be angled sideways some to clear windage tray around crank and oil pump.
