Scott's GT left my shop today, going home so Scott can finish the build. I took a video of it, to provide anyone interested, with a video tour. Thanks again, Scott YouTube - GT-40 |

| Re: Tornado TS40 #875 Scott,
I can see it in my mind's eye now: " The strident baritone of four Weber downdraft carburetors echoing through the Connecticut countryside. A brilliant flash of yellow as the spec GT40 hurtles up hill , down dell, mincing tidily around picture postcard country roads in the Housatonic river valley. With a blip of the throttle, Eric. " Whaat? ...Did he say Eric!!!

| Re: Tornado TS40 #875 Eric, you need to write a GT40 book!
Ok, so today I installed the fuel tank fill pipes and caps.
Then I installed the front and rear wiring looms, checked the operation of all the electrical systems (all good!) and closed up the light box covers.
Aftewards I installed the front radiator inlet mesh, wiper motor assy. and washer nozzle.
Following that, I started installing the pre-cut carpets included with the kit.
Cheers,
Scott

That is brilliant and does both the Tornado Kit and your build credit
Well done to both parties
So next question - how does she drive?

| Re: Tornado TS40 #875 Looking fantastic, Scott! Quite a testament to the Tornado kit, as well as your efforts.
Just curious, does #875 have A/C?
Sure would like to see a LHD/RHS model, I think the way the interior came out is very OEM looking, a look I particularly like, would just like to see how the shifter and parking brake mesh on a RHS model.
So......maybe a Carbon Fiber mono with LHD/RHS and A/C for your next build thread?????
Also, for those of us who are seriously interested in your current build due to the highly complete nature of the kit, when you're finished would you perhaps post a final report on cost to completion, including a list of and the cost of whatever parts you had to source independently?
Congratulations, again, Scott--a job well done!!
Doug

| Re: Tornado TS40 #875 Hi Guy's
Ian, thanks for the compliment!
When I drive the car rest assured I'll post some info.
Will, I'd like to change that GT40 : "None yet" in your avatar, give me a call sometime.
Doug .... thanks! No, 875 has no A/C but it could be added .
I assume you mean LHD Center shift?
We make RHD/RHS or LHD/LHS cars currently, but that does not mean that a center shift cable is beyond possibility for a builder to install of his own design. There are cable shift systems available.
When a carbon demo does get here it will be RHD/RHS, but with A/C just for you .
You can easily price out 875.
The Deluxe Component Package is 27,595 GBP.
Then go to the list of options I chose at the beginning of this thread, visit our website for prices of those options and convert to dollars @ www.xe.com.
Cheers,
Scott
