| 5 RF's at Sandown I don't know if this is a record for 5 of the same make cars together at one time, but maybe 4 of us on track at the same time could be.
Anyway here we are at the annual Lotus Club Victoria track day at Sandown on Saturday 20th Oct 07. The photos reflect my poor skills with a camera, however I can explain who owns which car. From left - the red car is mine,Green/yellow car is Andrew Easts, car in primer is Graeme Hs car he's just got it registered and wasn't on track,Dark blue with centre stripe is James Mc and silver car is Peter H.James struck trouble with his clutch and starter motor and later in the day I was headed out for the last run when my clutch dropped it's fluid.I wasn't able to do my normal sub 1min 20sec lap times as I had to use road legal tyres but a 1min 24.6sec lap got me fastest time of the day.We had a great time and I even came home with a dozen eggs donated by the 'eggman' Andrew.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! Would be interested to hear what the Lotus Club people had to say about top time of the day being captured by someone not driving a Lotus?

Ross has been a member of the Lotus Club for sometime and they are used to him and seem to be resigned to letting him take FTD at their track events. Although at the drivers briefing mention was made of the noise restrictions at the track with issues GT40's may have complying with Ross getting a special mention.
It was a great day with Peter H and James Mc having their first outing on the track with their cars. Comparitively to Ross's 1.24FTD my best time in a road registered GT was 1.32. I ran at the MSCA srints on the Sunday and both Chris L and I pushed down to 1.30's.
It was terrific to see five cars together at the track. Great photos Ross!
Andrew

Eventually Iain will be adding another racing RF to the racing pack, though whether he will go down to the Deep South is another matter.
