New aluminium Cobra in UK

Nick Shriegley-Fiegl just phoned. He told me that his company Auto Historics Ltd is buying a run of Polish aluminium Cobra bodies (as used by Kirkham/Hawk Cars). He aims to build a run of fully SVA'd cars, with Ford V8, IDAs and T10 box, but with a modern speed sensing diff. The first car will be a 289 FIA spec, but he will also be building a 427. All cars should be FIA eligible. Cost said to be "significantly lower" than the UK Hawk ally cars.

Nick's a very interesting chap. He owned GT40 P1065 for 12 years in the 70s/80s. He races F5000 Lolas, and recently sold some plans back to Lola for the T70 continuation series. His firm undertakes any kit car/replica builds, one-off aluminium bodywork and any other mechanical work or bodywork. They are setting up a full GRP facility.

AH's factory/workshop is 8,000sq ft in Leek, Staffs. Contact:
