We are now working on a new cast Aluminium rear upright.

This will be used on all of the monocoque cars and is also a direct bolt on replacement for the fabricated upright used on the spaceframe car.

The design work has been completed and the casting patterns and tooling are being manufactured right now.

The first batch will hopfully be available in 4 to 6 weeks time.

They will be cast in LM25, heat treated and bead blasted.

They offer a great weight saving as the bolt on bearing housing and the caliper adapter bracket for 4 pots will no longer be required.

I will post pictures as soon as they are available.

Thanks

Andy

They use the same bearings, stubs and hubs.

Price will be available when the first batch are completed.

Everyone,

I'll be putting a set on 875 soon, in its build log.

They will bring the zero fuel weight of the car to less than 2000 lbs / 907 kg.

They look good too!

Cheers,
Scott

Design and pattern work is now completed and the first batch are at the foundry.

Due to the Christmas break the first batch should be with us and fully machined before the end of January.

These will be used on all of the Monocoques and a bolt on coversion kit will be available so that they can be used as a direct replacement to the fabricated rear uprights supplied with all spaceframe kits.

kit will include uprights, brake brackets, lower wishbone bolts and 'U' brackets.

The upright accepts the original bearings, stubs, drive flanges, driveshafts, calipers, discs and shock absorbers.

If you would like a pair let me know as soon as possible as 3/4 of the first batch are already pre ordered.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year to all of our customers.

Andy

Andy, I am dumber. The proof is that I am wasting my time with this reply. I forgot that you lack a sense of humor, or is that humour?? Perhaps you are spending too much time developing cast suspension pieces when other companies have produced them years ago. I think you need to relax a bit more, but far be it for me to comment on how the "World Leading" GT40 manufacturer is cutting edge and conducts business. Cheers and once again, Merry Christmas to you and your family. :)

looks very nice Andy ,all up weight is very good looks like i will be able to chase the ultima boys afterall !!!

Ha ha Andy ...very true but i have just found a good supply for light weight carbon sheeting !!!! would be a great upgrade from the alli !!! although i'm sure the purist will hate it !!!

Hi Andy,

Just to be on the safe side as I have emailed this question to you as well. Do you have any reps in Australia? If so, can you please send me their details.

Cheers

Murray

Here is an upright update.

Due to a problem at the foundry with the shape and technique required for casting we have revised the design of the rear upright.

This has allowed it to be lightened even further and now means that insted of being caliper specific we can fit virtually any caliper.

For those who have placed orders the revised delivery date is mid Feb.

Thanks

Andy
