Smiths Instruments

We have now introduced a range of Smiths instruments with black bezels, white lettering and needles with the Smiths logo.

Speedo is available in mph, kmh or both and the tacho features the red section.

Instruments are manufactured using the original tooling.

Water temp, oil pressure and oil temperature use capillary tubes but we will be working on a full electrical range in the future.

Thanks

Andy

Re: Smiths Instruments

Very nice, Andy.

Will this series become standard on your packages, or will they be an option?

I, for one, don't mind the capillary tubes. They would need to be pretty long tubes for the mid-engined location of the 40, though, and I suppose those with sending units might be more accurate for just that reason.

TIA!

Doug

Re: Smiths Instruments

Doug

As they are more expensive than our standard instrument set so they will be an optional upgrade.

Capillary tubes are 120" long as on original 40's.

Thanks

Andy

Re: Smiths Instruments

Very nice Andy. Looking great there.

As soon as you have an all-electric set I'll be the first one asking to buy a set!

Re: Smiths Instruments

Andy,

Quality bits you have there - very nice indeed.

Will access to this gauge package be limited to Tornado owners only? I have to believe there are a number of owners who'd prefer to have this sort of detail added to their 40.

Well done!

T.
