Rep Power: 4 | Images of original GT40 Chassis # 1103 for reference. Please note these pictures are for private use only and may not appear in any publication as I signed a disclaimer to that effect. Enjoy!
I have just had the great pleasure of being allowed to view an original GT40 up close (very close!) and personal. I am going to post a very of the pictures I have taken here. These are mainly "pretty" pictures. I took the majority of technical photo's using a film camera which are being developed. I have also been given permission to return and take further pictures and measurements when I wish so if you would like to see something specific or want to know what goes where, let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
Cheers

Rep Power: 4 | Re: Images of original GT40 Chassis # 1103 for reference. Hi James, I was surprised when I was told that the car hadn't been started in over ten years. But remember Beaulieu is run as a charity and they do have a lot of very rare cars. I was told that if I wanted to I could raise the money to have it looked at and got running again so it all depends how enthusiastic you would be about seeing an old classic running, i.e. would you put your hand in your own pocket for someone else’s car?
Anyway for those that asked here are some more pictures! |

Am I correct in thinking that that is an old Mustang engine in there with Micky Thompson rocker covers ?. |

Couldn't tell you, but maybe you could tell me? Here is another closer look at the engine, what do you or anybody else for that matter think? I was told the exhaust system wasn't original. |

They are definitely M/T rocker covers. |
