Rep Power: 13 | Geelong All Ford Day Well, it was an eventful day for many of us, however it was a great gathering of GT40s in Geelong for the Kiwanis All Ford Day.
The highlight I think was the show trophy going to Peter H for his beautiful silver GT40 in the combined Cobra/GT40 section of judging. Well done Peter.
Afterwards, our fellow GT40 owner Eddie took us out to the local airport where he flies his Yak aerobatics plane where we proceeded to take some photos and were then treated to an aerobatics display!
Great day, great company, beautiful cars and apart from some minor electrical gremlins for me on my maiden long distance voyage - we'll be keen to do it again next year!

Rep Power: 13 | Re: Geelong All Ford Day I should just add that my 'minor' electrical gremlins which caused my fuel pumps to shut down saw me stranded in the middle median strip of the freeway b/w Geelong and Melbourne. And there I would have stayed if not for the efforts of a number of people whom I would like to thank!
Owen, Paul, Jonathan and Brett (honorary) all of the New Roaring Forties as well as Bob, Steve, Ross and Chris the auto electrician all managed to nut out the problem and get me going. Cannot say enough good things about these guys and their support!
I should also add that the above photos are obviously not of the Geelong All Ford Day. I have some shots on my work PC that I'll load up tomorrow, hopefully some of the other guys took photos......
Thanks.

Yes a fantastic day with a wide variety of Ford vehicles. In fact I did not know some of them even existed.. now did they make that many GTHO III..
It was great to meet you guys and to also be part of the Barwon Heads airport aerial wonder. Eddie is amazing to watch and certainly had me in awe of his low level flying and hanging on the prop.
I did get a little bit of flack for not having the red GT40 there at Barwon Heads - seems the photographers felt a red car would balance it out.
Good to hear everyone got home ok even if there was a little electrical problem.
Bernie

Rep Power: 13 | Re: Geelong All Ford Day Jack I missed yo down there. I was wondering what happened to you!
Bernie, fortunately the breakdown was in the morning, so no harm done to my day, other than just getting home before dark with no headlights.....
Here are some shots of the GT40 display.

Good to see those 50's Fords in attendance! The Blue/White one is sweet.
