Haven´t seen this before.

One can say about modern wheelsizes on a GT40 what you want, but they look bad ass.

Would like to know which engine and gearbox is in there.

Does anyone know more about this car, it sure looks great ?

Re: Hot Rod Gt40

Nice post, Tom! Makes me cringe, though. I also want to know what engine and gear box. I wonder if all the gears still work!

Re: Hot Rod Gt40

Hi

The car has a gearbox from a former Silk Cut Jaguar used on Le Mans in the 80`s. The engine is a 348 cui (5,7l) NASCAR engine with around 700 horsepower.

With this engine the car is not wery usable on the street; it would like 3500 and above rpm to work properly.

It is said to be buildt from a english kit with a tubular steel frame.

Regards
Trond

Re: Hot Rod Gt40

Hello.

I met the owner (at least at that time) on an STCC event at Mantorp, Sweden. He is a fotograph in the Norwegian magazine "Gatebil".

I understood the car was bought in very bad condition from Sweden, and it was sorted out by Anders Ringstad. Among others the body was replaced.
