Hi Jim
I to was at phillip Island,if i had of known we could have caught up, just a fantastic event. Fellow forum member Trevor Booth was there in his Nota and had a very succesfull weekend. He drives the backside of his car including one race where he had to start from the rear of the grid and finnished 8th after passing what looked like a car a corner. I have some pics I will try to post after I compress them.
I also went to the Bathurst 12 hour a few weeks ago and although a completly different meeting, it to was fantastic. Public access was great at both events.
The Bathurst 12hr has an invitational class that would be perfect for a P4/5 if anyone has one out there.

Darrell yes we could have got together.
I had a chat to Trevor when I was down their.

Having drama with the photos loading, I will try at work during the week then I will give up.

On Saturday night I went to the pub and sat down at a table with 2 gents called Chris.
One Ozi the other English, as it turned out we all owned GT40's.
Their 40's where originals.

The reason the photos will not load is because a security token is missing whatever that means.

This for me is a gem, probably because my 40 has an alloy body.
M1 McLaren
It looked hammered with race patina but that just made it even better.

Matra X2

This one broke a waterpump on saturday and cooked itself.
They had a spare as you do.
Apparently the owners comissioned Matra to make several spare engines.

V12 F1 engine they ran them to 10.500rpm.
This car apparently won lemans several times.

Alloy riveted tub, very nice.
