Looking at used gopros on ebay. I have no idea what I really need. I only want to use it as a incar camera or as a vacation video camera. No underwater or supper dupper video hobbie stuff. I have enough hobbies already

Can deal with own mount. Just need camera. Would like to run it off 12v car power with USB converter thingy. Prices on ebay are all over the place. Black, silver, white edition. Hero, hero 2 3 4. Whats what and what do I really only need.

I saw on the RC forums that for their needs all you need is the 4. If you want to save some money you can go cheaper and go with the Mobius(~$80) or the Runcam(~$50).
They're tiny, but pack a lot for the price. Lots of add on stuff like a zoom lens or remote lens placement. You can use them to go to a remote monitor if you want to see what the camera sees. You will find lots of info and reviews on the videos on Utube. The last one is the most recent.

Some of these planes are going in excess of 100mph. So they can take it if mounted correctly.

This is the route I am going.You can buy 3 or 4 of these for one GoPro.
