This one was up for sale a few years ago. It didn't sell on ebay, but sombody picked up the trail on this board. I believe that person flew into Chicago, viewed the car struck a deal, flew home and sold his 911 to fund the purchase of the GT40. When he called to finalize transaction details the GT40 owner said sorry I changed my mind. For what it's worth.

Seeing the car for sale again I sent him an email asking again if he was going to reimburse my airfare, hotel and rent car for my trip in September 2003. Funny, no reply yet....

BTW, the car was listed for $72,000 with no reserve last time. If anybody has questions about the car I can pass on my observations.

Looks like it didn't make reserve to sell. Might justbe the market, but I think the days of $100k+ ERAs are gone, maybe, it is hard to tell. I do know of an ERA for sale locally to me (NC) if someone is interested, I'll dig out the info and pass it along.
