Some poetic licence as well. If it was built in Poole, the engine may well be a marine engine as thats what I believe GTD did.

I am curious by your reference to the car possibly having a marine engine. By that do you mean a reverse rotating engine because of a transaxle flip?

There is a lot of poetic license in this add. Original supplier to the GT40 project? This appears to be a standard early GTD40 (pre 1990) nothing more, nothing less. A word of caution - I see heat shields surrounding the bottom and sides of the exhaust-I have been told that it is not a good idea to restrict the air flow as it inhibits carrying of the heat.
