Did 1075 run that orange strip only in 1968 as in 1969 it ran ith the full width orange front? If not and the car has been repainted over the years why chose the wrong stripe for it?

That's its sister 1076 I believe. It had the straight stripe and ran as #11 in 68 and #7 in 69.

1075 had the mustache we all know and ran as #9 in 68 and #6 in 69 (if memory serves me correctly).

Looks like all three of the Gulf cars will be there- pretty cool.

Very interesting to look at the black and white pic and the state of the bodywork. The ripples, dodgy paint and panel fits are just how I remember these cars back in their day. I remember that I could stick my thumb in the door gap on one of the gulf cars. Amusing to compare them to the over prepared, manicured and polished cars we see today. Amazing what large wads of cash will do.
Cheers
