    I just thought.....

Wishing you all the best David for a complete recovery. It sounds as if you are going in for a major overhaul so very good luck with it all. The Paddock won't be the same without you so I, along with many others I am sure, hope that you will keep posting while you are convalescing and for the...

Roy Smart - Rest In Peace my friend...

This is very sad news. Roy was an enormous help to me in assisting in the creation of my GT40 - in fact he did most of the building as most of my spare time was taken up with building an aircraft at the time. RIP old friend. Chris

Tragic Hunter Crash @ Shorham Air Show

I was at the show and saw it all happen. It is always very distressing when innocent members of the public are killed and injured at an event that is supposed to be a pleasure for everyone. The media have behaved in their usual dumb way in this instance by publishing interviews with so called...

Weekend lunch at the Kings head in Little Marlow.

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery David. Hope they didn't say you would have to give up drinking. Chris

    Stoneleigh Show

Hi Andrew. Anyone who has bothered to read your many and comprehensive postings on your project will know that you have never claimed that the car will be an original when finished. I would join Keith in urging you to continue posting details of the build, which I am sure is of great interest to...

    Completely nuts!

Some people might say that is a good thing. It is possible to take responsibility for ones own actions without the involvement of lawyers.

    Completely nuts!

Also, what happens when you meet another vehicle coming the other way?

    Completely nuts!

Incredible! I wonder how many workers were lost when the road was originally built?

Do you think the money will change hiim?

If you are going to enter lotteries, and I do sometimes, I think the first thing to do is specify no publicity which you can do here in the UK. You can then limit the number of people who know about your win. Of course everyone will be changed by a big win. I would have lots of nice cars...

Save the Brighton Speed Trials - urgent!!

GOOD NEWS! The Speed Trials have been saved. The relevant committee on the Brighton Council have voted to reinstate the event this year. The campaign to save the event has obviously been successful and many thanks are due to all those who took part (which included Stirling Moss apparently).

Which trailer to transport a GT40?

We used to have a Brian James RS3 enclosed trailer which was primarily used to transport a Radical but was also used to transport the GT40. The '40 was loaded backwards and there was no problem getting in and out - in fact it was often driven on to and off the trailer rather than using the...

    More Global Cooling/Warming/Change hoax.

And the ice breaking ship that went to rescue it was unable to reach it because the ice is too thick!

    Are the Russians coming?

Not all of us in Europe are against you Doug, but I think some of your politicians do make mistakes - as do they all, whichever country they come from including here in the UK.

Save the Brighton Speed Trials - urgent!!

The event has been happening since before the first world war and I think is the oldest motorsport competition in the UK that is (or was) still going. I have competed for several years, latterly in my GT40, and it cannot be allowed to fade away. It is a great competitive and social event and I...
