dont under astimate the un 1 it is a good tranny ,set up right right oil system i think it would handle a bounch of hp . i have broke a couple but anyway if u look at the cost it is ok-
as long as u have a manifold that accepts to turn the carb it is ok but dont use a dual plane manifold.if changing metering blocks check idle bleeds and high speed bleeds as they may vary.the 4by4 racers often use the foam in the bowls that works good with extensions on the jets
i am an pro modiefied drag racing mech and we run all alu ewerything and tear things apart every 2 nd run and have never had a leak we always use alu silicon from G E .very cheap very good fast drying .we by it at the HOME DEPOT
does anyone have a good tip on alignment,my car has 225-45-17 front.315-35-17 rear tires.i set it up whith 1,5 mm total front toe ,4deg camber -1 mm rear toe ,5 deg camber but i feel the car a bit loose at speed(65mls and up).
my plan for my gtd build was to get it ready for my 40 th b day and so it was .but after 125 miles i dropped 2 nd gear in my un 1 . i havent tear it apart yet ,but does anyone have a idea what broke,. all other gears are ok
the gt isnt as low as u think i have 127 mm ride hight wile my lowered 69 mustang is 100 and i never hit anything . but u have to think before u climb up the side walks
