    Relocating the SPF pedal assembly

id bolt it in using the top and the bottom bolt holes you're talking about and give it a test. obviously stationary test at first and then a couple whilst driving somewhere safe. Check all bolts for tightness. If you are using a bolt hole and position that you have not used before, is could...

    Gelscoe 1078/R

Rob, is that GT111 I see in the background? Thats the only real GT40 I have seen in person, when it was out in Australia for the Philip Island Historic meeting the other year.

Ryans Group Ten GT40 build - Body 5.

So went to add in the flange on the part that goes over and around the tunnel and have run into a discrepancy in my cad model. The question is, do I make the central tunnel 2.75” internal width or external width. I’d previously had it as an internal dimension, but now I can’t remember why I...

Ryans Group Ten GT40 build - Body 5.

Some more photos of the early prototype X member in the floor. Drawing number X40-06. the drawing shows some holes in the vertical faces front and read, but I cant see these on either GT103 or 104 or any of the latter prototypes. May have only been on 101 or 102 which I have no photos of...

    David's Monocoque Build

David, When you get these parts formed up, what are you doing with them? Do you give them a coat of 1k etch/weld through primer and then put them in storage? are they going in a closed container with a bunch of desiccant to protect the parts from rust whilst you get more parts formed up? I...

    Coil location MKII

Agree David. I suspect I have overlooked that part a number of times. It looks like it is constructed the same way that the mounts for the Girling brake/clutch fluid reservoirs are. I’m guessing I have overlooked the title of the drawing.

Did all the MK IIs have the “XE” tachometer drive distributor as well? That might explain some of the other cables you see running across the front of the engine bay. Note P1040 is a MK I small block car.

Fitted with the prototype long nose for testing. I am presuming it is still using the same pivot point as...

    Front end mounts

This is from my build diary, You can see the orange side plate and the grey nose extension panel underneath. These are based on the latter drawings for the production cars, whereas the red bit on the side is for the early prototype and first 4 production chassis. I'm still working on this...

    Front end mounts

@jmcgalaxie what Ken Miles book is that from? The car in the picture is GT103 at Daytona in 1965. Number #73, note the radiator refill in the lower part of the B pillar. It is fitted with the early prototype nose and radiator support arrangement. This is at least 4" shorter than the latter...
