All the interior surfaces including the seats are unfinished. The folks that build track oriented cars tend to leave them like that. The folks like us (me and Ruth) that want a street car source all the interior surface materials separately as they are not included with the kit.
Re: Performance specs for various SL-C builds and the engine / transmissio combos use
I don't think you're going to find much because people either haven't finished their cars yet, or they just don't go and record that stuff. For example, I've owned performance cars for the last 15 years and...
Bringing this back up to the top. Our plan is to use the mirrors on the SLC for side views but to add a camera dedicated to the rear view. Pondering the right coverage and we're wondering if for this purpose that narrower is better than superwide.
Aaah, got it. Yuu slip this around the edges of the glass, and THEN apply the adhesive to attach the windshield to the body. Anybody have a closeup pic of the finished install?
I guarantee you can get it done in carbon fiber by somebody. That's a simple money-solvable request. Is the cost benefit there though for doing it, because how much can the entire fiberglass body weigh? If it wasn't so awkwardly shaped, one person can probably lift the whole thing.
It would be interesting if you called DMV today to see if they have any left for 2012. I'd bet that they do. But be warned, its not something they deal with very often so you may have trouble finding someone who understands what you're asking.
While it may have been true when the SB100 option first rolled out, the numbers disappearing on the first day is now merely urban legend. However, there is nothing that prevents you from getting the number before your car is finished. . .or started.
Maybe not. I sat in them at SEMA. I'm 6ft and 170lbs. Apparently if you are over 5' 9" your head will hit the ceiling as the bottoms have too much cushioning. Also, if I added approx. 90 lbs I don't think I'd be very comfortable in them, and/or I'd completely overwhelm the shape of the seat.
