May I suggest you turn the problem fitting ( TX valve ) around 180 degrees. Not sure if you can do this and put the hose on this fitting before bolting unit into vehicle.... Just my thoughts...

The charging voltage is 14.2v and the charge of the battery determines the flow of current into the battery. Alternator does not monitor current flow only regulate voltage at 14.2v same as a normal battery charger.

Joined the forum a couple of years back but due to the financial difficulties of the recent past had to give up the idea of GT40 until now. Back seriously looking at a kit this year. Will have to have a look at the kits available in Oz and check out some completed cars. Great...
