Nice work! Wish I had a neighbor like you to help with my 914-6. I try to make parts for it with little success. I do get things made on the water jet time to time which look a hell of alot better but kinda pricey for one offs.
Had several fieros as a kid. Sadly I didn't know as much...
Think a few others mentioned it already but after doing some reading it seems you need to be aware of titaniums wear factor when coming into contact with other parts. I have read of people having parts fail withing 20k miles because a valve spring wore a retainer down and such.
Great thread. Still trying to figure out whats best. Whatever that means. SPF and the CAV dealer are really close to me so I will try to meet with them both in 2 weeks. Ones in Tokyo one doesn't have a car in stock.
First I got to say I simply love Stack type injection. Looks cool as hell...
I'm not sure what the difference between a dry sump and a wet sump is. I am assuming a dry sump means the oil is not stored in the motor. But then if thats the case then what is the difference between the normal oiling system and a wet sump. But yeah I am not sure.
But the big question is if...
Thanks again Veek.
There are several things I got going for me. The 914 guys are without any doubt the best group of car guys in the world. I have 2 guys that I can rely on for any alingment issues. They are used to dealing with problems like bumpsteer. Had to do a bump steer to my 914...
Saw this before and found it rather stupid. But then again I want a original with 600hp so with the power to weight ratio that may make me close to stupid as well :)
Dam I would really like to come there but it's a far drive from NYC. I don't have a GT40 yet and honestly never seen one in person. A builder is gonna have one in a few weeks for me to see though.
Have fun guys. As much as I want to drive there it's just to far :p:p
Yeah that's the hard part with aerodynamics. What will work best and what looks ok.
I'm in the middle of doing some aero work on the 914. I should have the finished airdam and splitter done in a few weeks. The rear I removed the valance and made an exhaust that mounts up and behind the...
I am surprised by the responses. I know the GT3 is pretty tough. But if you sort out any problems your GT40 has I can't imagine you couldn't beat one or at least be equal.
I have a 914-6 and with a good driver(i.e. not me) it can stay right there with a GT3. Granted it's had alot of changes...
Hey just wondering what you think I might be looking at as far as price for a roush 402 IR with a 6 speed ZF transmission installed? I'm gonna meet the engine builder in a few weeks but curiousity is killing me.

But yeah something like the roush is...
