If I figure out a way to buy this car myself, I could continue to drive it under current OR registration and just do the transfer in 2011, meanwhile get on the list for SB100. The owner is a very good friend and not in a rush to sell, the current plates and registration are good through 2011...

That may be but still a huge victory, getting it in CA as a 1993 would not be possible. We can now market this car successfully in CA, major hurdle overcome today.

I meant financially and was not referring to the registration process. If the owner of the car is successful getting his title amended, then I would try to "find a way" to buy the car myself. I would never try to bend the rules or pull a fast one with registration, not worth the risk to me. You...

Thanks Jim, I did post a new thread and have been getting some great input. The tricky part with mine is that it is currently registered in Oregon as a 1993 ERA, that may cause some issues here. I am hoping it can be registered by the engine year which is a Boss 302, 1969 I think. Mike
