    rear axel hub

I am not a slc owner yet, but hope to be before too much longer. But I am a long time reader of this forum. One of the best things that I have come to realize is that Fran is always looking for ways to improve the cars that he manufactures. I believe that once I am fortunate enough to purchase...

    SL-C Sold

So Al when a supplier tells Fran a ship date what do you expect him to do? He could just say it will be there when it gets there or he could tell his customers the date his suppliers give him. When he gives a date that his suppliers give him he is not taking the truth lightly he is simply...

    SL-C Sold

Sense I'm still not ready to order a kit yet I decided to do an Internet search for dissatisfied RCR customers. What an enlightening search, seems that it is the same couple of people saying the same junk over and over. Does not appear that they can find anyone else to support their story or...

    SL-C Sold

I've been following several kit car forums for a while trying to make a decision on which car I would like to build. That being said, of all the manufacturers that I have been following RCR is "BY FAR" at the top of this industry. If Fran was to change suppliers because of delays with outside...

    Luggage Space in a SLC

I can't recall who right now but a couple of guys have went with split rear radiators in front of each rear wheel and converted the front into a luggage compartment. So a little modification on split radiators, fiberglass in a custom luggage tray that would seal to the front clip and now plenty...

    Grant's SL-C Build tread

I agree, great work. And if easier was the idea, how many would be building these unbelievable cars. When I pull the trigger I want mine to be one of a kind and things like this make it one of a kind.

    SLC Aftermarket Seat Option

I have been reading and greatly enjoying these forums for some time now. Maybe getting closer to taking the plunge. Would someone who is at a point where they can take a measurement from floor of car to top as straight up as possible as well as a close measurement of the angle of the tank cover...

    A/C Lines

If you choose to use copper be careful with the solder you use and over heating the pipe. Copper is what is used all the time in refrigeration with 134a and other freons, but there is normally a good size filter/ drier for the size of the system. In automotive the filter/ drier could easily be...

    Rumbles SLC Build

First thought is make sure that all connections are 37 or 45 degree fittings depending on steel or stainless steel lines.

    Great looking finished car

Ford is the Blue Oval. A few decades ago Peterbilt trademarked the oval by deminsions used in their wheels and around their logo.

    Daily driver

Is it possible to build a SLC and have it water tight for a daily driver. The car is really appealing from what I have seen on the internet, but I am not interested in a track car at all. So as a replacement for my vette is it possible to build it water tight as it will be driven in the rain?

    W8 and Corvette Transaxle?

Fran didn't you say that the griffin was too long to work in the SLC?

    W8 and Corvette Transaxle?

I'm still reading threads and trying to make up my mind as to which car I want to build. When I build one it will be street use only, with a lot of highway driving so I am looking for a taller gear than what is offered in a porsche tranny and was hoping that the Griffin would be the answer...
