    Keith’s RCR GT40 Mk1B for sale

Keith, So very, very sorry to hear about your health issues. You were one of the first people I reached out to when I was considering buying an RCR40 and your help and advice were invaluable. I even printed out your build postings and still use them as guidance while building my car. You built...

    RCR40 cooling system tube insulation

Randy, at the suggestion of others on this forum, instead of wrapping them in insulation I had my RCR supplied tubes ceramic coated by Jet-Hot. I wanted to save as much space in the spine as possible and the specs of the heat reduction of ceramic coating were greater than the reduction realized...

    Windshield wiper mount location

Hi Randy, I think all of the spiders come as based on the “original” GT40’s which were RHD so the wiper motor location was on the right side of the spider. That’s the way mine came. Moving it to the opposite side just required careful measuring (and a bit of trust in my abilities having never...

    Switch for dual full pumps?

Hi all, I'm in the process of planning out my dash switch arrangement for my RCR40. Specifically what type of switch to use to move between the two fuel pumps. I was at first considering a separate switch for each but then started thinking of using either an on/off/on or an off/on/on single...

Porsche G50: Replacing long cover with short cover?

Howard I did speak with Roger yesterday and this morning. He confirmed that if I wanted to switch to the short cover I would also have to replace my shift rod with the short one. That's not a simple thing to do and involves a further tear down of the transmission. If I was having Roger rebuild...

    Sean's RCR GT40 build

Neil, that's an impressive series of rivets! I'm assuming you used some type of template to get them is such straight lines and drill the holes so evenly spaced? Chet

Porsche G50: Replacing long cover with short cover?

Thanks Randy. I had read your prior postings as well as Sean's latest efforts and you both certainly did a stellar job on your transmissions! Finding a shop here in Naples to do the cutting (so far) has not been an easy task. Everyone I've asked so far didn't have one they would recommend for...

Porsche G50: Replacing long cover with short cover?

Is this an easy swap or a potential nightmare? According to the Porsche online parts catalog both the long and short versions share the same part numbers for the gasket, shaft oil seal and bushing. That would "seem" to indicate they can just be easily swapped (and then the shifter shaft...

Recommendations for US vacation around turn of the year 23/24 - NC, SC, FL

Naples might be a little long of a drive but the Revs Institute here is world class. I’ve been volunteering there as a station guide since 2015. Amazing collection of race cars including two GT40s and a Jaguar D Type. Great seafood here too!
