    Relocating the SPF pedal assembly

My thought was that the pedal assembly is something off the shelf, maybe Wilwood since they use their brakes, so that it came with a number of fastening locations for a variety of applications. I don’t see that it should make any difference which two locations are used, just as long as it is...

    Relocating the SPF pedal assembly

This is the pedal assembly. You can see both rear bolt bosses clearly. The front right bolt boss is visible, still held down by the bolt. It is virtually impossible to get a picture of the front left bolt boss as it is almost totally obscured.

    Relocating the SPF pedal assembly

I think I know the procedure for moving the pedal assembly as I have seen a number of posts on the subject, however, I still have one question. There are four bosses on the bottom of the bracket and one at the top. Presently the two bolts at the bottom use the two front bosses. Is there any...

    SUPERFORMANCE GT40 Owners Manual

Hi Blas, Regarding lighting upgrade, just last week I upgraded from the SPF supplied bulbs to LED. I am told the bulbs are out of a Yamaha motorcycle. It took them about 10 to 15 minutes to do, and they appear at least 50 percent brighter. They are the R2 model

Raydot style window mounted side mirrors

I did try fitting blind spot mirrors, in several sizes and shapes, to my existing side mirrors, but I personally found that it didn’t offer me the safety I was hoping for. I have also tried a little larger blind spot mirror, approximately 2” X 3.5” rectangular, adhered to the inside door sill...

Raydot style window mounted side mirrors

I have the set up you describe, with the mirrors mounted in the corners of the windows. And I too like the aesthetics of that location. They were able to install them, without drilling the Lexan. I found that the passenger side mirror is totally useless, the driver side mirror is better, but...

    SUPERFORMANCE GT40 Owners Manual

If no one has asked about the best locations to strap down your car for transport, I think that would be valuable information. Also, the best locations for jacking or lifting the car. I now cross strap through the wheels, but I have no idea if that is the best. I have also strapped around the...

Transport from the Pacific NW to the 2024 GT40 Reunion

Would really like to attend this event, but the 2100 mile tow (each way) is a real hardship. At 72, with recent knee replacement surgery, I don’t know whether I’m up to three long days of towing each way, and what kind of shape I would be in after reaching the event. So I am interested in...

Nevada Classsics GT40 kits for Canada

The ad brings up a couple of questions. It says ”authentically designed, and licensed.” I’m not sure about the design claim, but I thought that Superformance had the only “licensed” GT 40 on the market, via an agreement with Safir. At least that is a claim made in all of their literature.

    Sill mats

I think most of the Superformance dealers carry them. I believe that I saw them on the Hillbank website. I bought mine from Airpark Motorsports in Scottsdale, Arizona. It’s worth a few phone calls. Olthoff Has them listed on their website.

Hedrick Speedsports; GT40 Active Power Cars build

Just curious, but the air stacks look very tall. Have you check for clearance with the rear clip?

Raceline Digital Graphics Still making decals?

I just checked out their website and it stated that they were in the process of moving websites, so I would give him a call. I did purchase a complete set of graphics earlier this year.

    2023 Corvette C8 Z06

The owner/driver of the other car was trying to justify the fact the Corvette, which cost substantially less than either the Ferrari and Lamborghini, could not only hold it’s own, but actually outperform their two more expensive European imports. The C8R won Le Mans this year, just won VIR...

Is this the correct CVF serpentine kit?

Can’t Doug at Prestige confirm whether or not that this Serpentine Kit is compatible with the RCR cars? I would think that he has supplied motors for these kits before.

Looking for Paint shop in LA/ OC

From my time living in So. Cal, I believe that most of the chrome and metal plating shops, along with paint and body shops, have been forced out of California by the overly strict regulations by the SCAQD and EPA.

    serpentine system

I have a Prestige 351W with the 8 stack Borla in my SPF MK1, which was built by Prestige Motorsports. If you haven’t yet spoken with Doug, I suggest doing so. He sent me a very detailed proposal listing all of the part numbers, based on his recommendations, along with a price for each part.

    Sunvisors & side mirrors

I would make sure that whatever side view mirrors you select be available with convex lenses. I took delivery of my MK1 three weeks ago, and I can tell you that the rear side vision is almost nonexistant. I had Talbot style mirrors, with flat lenses installed in the corners of the Perspex side...

    Hello from Wyoming

Congratulations on your decision. Just took possession of my finished SPF MarkI two weeks ago. It was worth the wait, frustration and anxiety involved. The only downside is that the driving season in Montana is not as long as I would prefer. The information here was invaluable to many of my...

    Black Carpet Recommendations

I have no knowledge of the amount of carpet necessary to do the inside of a GT 40, but my background was 43 years in the carpet industry. Ozite was known for manufacturing indoor/outdoor carpet. It was low/flat and tightly constructed, so it was durable, and dirt would not get buried in a deep...
