there are really too many planes there. All have to be scrapped or do they save some for any future use?
Arizona sun probably will destroy theme all.

From what I have read about the place, aircraft are placed there for either long term storage (for future use or sale) or sent there to await scrapping. I was out there back in 1995 but missed out on an opportunity to tour the facility.

If you can't handle the sight of noble aircraft waiting to die, there is always the Pima County Air Museum located nearby that has a huge inventory of aircraft on display. I believe there is also a Titan missle silo that has been refurbished for tours (at least it was back in the 1990's) a short drive away as well.
