Gulf/golf cart?

Stumbled on this item in a camping south of France this week, the owner was absent for further information...

it’s funny. Anytime I search google for anything gt related I always find it on this forum. I was searching for gt40 golf carts and here I am.

Im thinking about doing exactly this to a golf cart we picked up cheap that is in need of a paint job.

This is not mine, but I have a 63 Sharknose Cushman Golfster like this. I will be painting it the same color as my upcoming RCR LOLA T70 MK3B. I purchased a new 35hp Briggs Vanguard for it. It will have a dual clutch setup , new 3speed transmission, with a 2 speed rear end. I bought old school Crager SS rims with low profile tires. It has 4:43 gears, where as the originals were 12:67’s. Should go way too fast.

Regards Brian

Brian - you are aware that this will need a build log in the Wings, Wheels and Keels forum…

We went ahead and pulled the trigger to make a “Gulf Cart”. It’s starting to look a lot better than it did when I got it. Had a lot of structural things to fix due to leaking batteries, went ahead and converted it to Lithium while I was at it.

I forgot how much I “loved” body work. Got the blue paint on it, it came out decent in spite the fact that I painted it outside in the winter with 20mph winds lol. I’m hoping I can get the orange done this weekend and put the new trim on it. Should have the new steering wheel and the new wheels and tires later today.
