IVA Tyre speed rating and brake hoses

Can anyone tell me the speed rating for the iva test.
My car will be a road car only, and with about 250hp .
Also l was watching a video from mk sport cars on help passing the iva test . They said that brake hoses had to be marked stating that there are ok for brake fluid.
I got in touch with a couple of companies like car builder solutions, and they've never heard of it.
Anybody come across this in the test . As even oem hoses don't have any marking on them.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Tony

I have been with 3 GT40s to the Oldham VOSA centre now and this has not been mentioned. Ask Fay at Speedflow 01934864310.

If you're using braided hoses (Aeroquip etc.) for the flexible lines, you won't have a problem, however the hoses from the reservoir to the master cylinders have to have the correct markings. CBS sell the correct grade required
Speed ratings on the tyres have to be higher than the declared maximum vehicle speed, so again not normally a problem

Sorry if l'm appearing stupid, but what do you mean by the declared maximum speed. Who declares the maximum speed .

I believe it may be on the IVA application form, but it's most likely to be checked at the IVA inspection that the tyres are fit for purpose

Basically dont have tyres that are rated to something low like 100mph. They aren't stupid and know what speeds these cars can reach, whether you'll do that speed or not.

I had a DAX with 3.9 rover based mill at 256hp
At SVA I had to have V rated tyres as they reckoned at max revs my car would do 140 mph. That put me in V Category tyres.
They had it on rollers to check the speedo and rpm reading and calculated it at 5500 which was declared as max power revs.

Better not to chance it and put on decent VRated tures which means Avons if you are doing 15 inch rims

That could be interesting for me then as my top gear is geared to 264 at max revs :D
Even at 5500 its 193mph
Naturally the car wont ever get there but will have to do some thinking how to approach this come IVA time.
