Michelin 15" tires

Michelin 15\" tires

Just received the new Hemmings and the Coker Tire insert had Michelin TB15 course tires with vintage treads (kind of like one of the vintage Dunlops) All are VR rated.

270/45 $396
295/40 $409
335/35 $443

Expensive but rather than the rare Yoko's these are evidently intended to be produced for quite awhile. That first pair would be great for my wide body ERA and might be a decent alternative to running the non-DOT treaded Dunlops.

Re: Michelin 15\" tires

We are already on to these tyres over here in UK and trying to get them listed in the Blue Book for competition use. Do be aware that although road legal they are an extremely soft compound and will not have the longevity for track or hard road use and their profiles are lower. Still a good move in the right direction though and may spur others such as Pirelli to hurry along with their new 15" ranges.

Re: Michelin 15\" tires

Thanks for the wear tip. Do you think I could get 2500 miles of reasonable street driving per set? It would be great if Pirelli came out with vintage tires. Of course the Michelin's are close to the price of hand grooved Avon's too which look so "right" on GT's.
