I’ll have the 38 out at Crows again with the GGLC in September or October. Whenever their last crows event for the year is. The GT40 is shorter and has more weight on the front so it makes a much better autox car than the 38. But because if that I keep working on making the 38 better.

Its been a wild ride. After the 38, I was pretty broke for a while, both the build and my living expenses went way up. Then I got a better job and had money but no time. I started very slowly building the GT40, then the pandemic happened and suddenly my commute vanished giving me 3 more hours...

Now having had a couple of autocross events completed, and having gotten tired of not having any traction what so ever, I've put on some lighter wheels and vintage racing hoosiers. The car lost 70 lbs of unsprung weight in the process and is now down to 1420 lbs. It looks better too :) If...

Yeah I'm planning on adding the strengthening plate to mine as that's pretty cheap to do, but when I look at also adding an LSD the price goes up to a point where I'm not sure if I'll just want another gear box. Though right now I'm not running near that amount of power so if I don't break...

Just curious, Robin, how much power do you have in your car? There's always lots of claims from people one how much power the 016 can handle and its nice to hear from someone who has actually broken one, what kind of power they had hooked up to it. -Ben

Yeah trailing throttle oversteer, but I've never experienced it AFTER I've braked for a turn. That is in the moment between foot on brake and foot on gas. I'll admit my "moment" was a longer than it should have been, but I was trying to pay attention to which tires were squealing. And yeah...
