Hoosier just brought out a racing tire that fits the same as the Avons, so that's great to have a new source (Dunlop still makes them as well, I believe). Also whomever bought Avon's assets is supposedly working on getting it started (Nova). Unfortunately you're just not going to find a 17"...

    Origional T70 Moulds??

Looks like the bids are pretty low. Anyone here getting anything?

Also Marcus, you may already be well aware of this, but I recommend buying a tool so you can use a breaker bar on your spinners. I used a lead hammer on mine, but being deep inside the rear wheels the angle is such that the ears bent on me. My tool is from Old Timer Tools. I did have to...

Any details on your engine Marcus? Looks like you went with carbs instead of mechanical fuel injection? Are you going to stick to 5.0L to comply to the 1969 rules? Very envious of your Hewland box. One of the few regrets on my car is not springing for one, but it's no small investment.

    Origional T70 Moulds??

Pretty cool. There's a complete 3B bodywork set as well lower on the page, except for the cockpit and seats. Would not want to ship that across the ocean, agreed!

Olf, looks like you're using the rear wheel from the Mk3 at 14" wide. Good idea! I believe street tires made for the DeTomaso Pantera (which has a 14" wide rear wheel on certain versions) would fit that wheel, but I think those are made in limited batches and maybe not made any longer. Any...

Thanks Lee! We have an antique registration here that doesn’t require inspection. The caveat is you’re only supposed to drive for exhibitions and shows (which I respect). PM me if you’re in TX too and need more details. Yup, Avons on the street; they’re the only tires that fit the wheels. I...

Thanks! Not that hard to be honest. I probably need to take some driving courses. I did get into a few corners a little too hot but the car pulled right through, so I'm sure she had a lot more to offer.

Thanks Brian. There's not a lot of Lola content out there so we have to keep it going! I enjoy educating folks at car shows.

Still enjoying the car. I think I've finally got all the kinks worked out; fixed every little leak and am pretty familiar with it now. Even got her to the track once! Gets a lot of attention wherever it goes.
