    I have a Ford Mustang Modular 4.6 but the 16 Valve engine fitted to my GT. It required the chassis to be special built by Southern GT so it would fit, but it fills the engine compartment and looks very impressive.

    Hi Bill, I had the same problem with the door moving up and down, and the bolts that hold the hinge were fully tight. Mick at Southern GT said that to rectify this I had to loosen the top bolts, then tap the hinge down gently, tighten them up and that solved the problem for me. Obviously the...

    I had mine fitted before painting, my painter did a fantastic job of pealing back the rubbers, but he did say he would have preferred to paint the car without the screen in. Good luck.

    Thanks for the reply’s, I will look into heat shields, also told the main item I need is Racing clutch fluid, this has a boiling point of 360 degrees as opposed to 210 with normal Dot4 fluid.

    It’s a Mustang 4.6 litre with a Renault UN1 box, all on a Southern GT Chassis. The main problem is there is very little room between the slave cylinder and the pipes.

    UN1 Gearbox Help

    Hi All, after help from Mick late of Southern GT, found the problem, the bearing carrier was sticking out too far and was rubbing against the clutch plate. That’s why I could not work the gears normally. Mick is shortening my carrier and it should be ok once it’s back in. Don.

    To date I have done about 100 miles on my car since the IVA Test. All going well till the other day, started it up, but it would not go into any gear,(Lots of grinding). If I switch off the engine put it in gear then start it up, bring up the clutch and I can move off, but it wont change gear...

    UN1 Gearbox Issue

    Hi Shaun, I had a similar problem with nothing turning, turns out I had trashed the bearings that the gearbox shaft went into. Easy job to replace but a bugger to get the lid bearings out. Good luck. Don.
